curriculum

Our curriculum intent.

Through our ambitious curriculum, where students study beyond the national curriculum and all options are available, we offer a knowledge rich journey that is truly comprehensive and accessible to all students. Our approach not only prepares students for academic success but also for practical, real-world challenges they may face in the future.

We do this by:

· ensuring that all students are safe and understand how to stay safe;

· ensuring that all students have access to a broad and balanced, knowledge-rich curriculum that goes beyond the demands of the National Curriculum;

· ensuring our unapologetically high standards are upheld by all within our school community;

· developing respect and empathy through our diverse cultural experiences and perspectives enabling students to navigate and contribute meaningfully to the world around them;

· providing opportunities for all students to develop a high level of literacy, with reading being an influential element of our inclusive curriculum;

· ensuring that all students are confident successful learners by developing resilience and empowering them with the determination to succeed;

· enabling high standards of academic achievement where outcomes lay strong foundations for a lifelong commitment to learning;

· supporting students to develop schema through lessons to allow them to know and remember more;

· delivering high quality staff CPD / training to support a sustained and sequential research-informed development programme;

· providing opportunities to expand their character growth, in and out of school, through a personal development curriculum and being a community school.

Through working together with all our community, we develop students who are proud to ‘Aspire and Achieve.’
