Brooksbanks Fantastic French Exchange

What an incredible week we've had! Our recent French exchange trip was a huge success as we welcomed our partner school Collège Maintenon from Perpignan for five unforgettable days.

We welcomed our French friends to Brooksbank last Friday, kicking off a week packed with activities that showcased the best of our local culture and hospitality. 

The week began with a visit to the historic city of York, where we explored its rich heritage and iconic landmarks. From there, the fun continued at Flamingo Land, where students from both schools bonded over thrilling rides. Creative minds were put to work in various craft sessions and a friendly but competitive bake-off allowed us to share culinary traditions - a great British scone.

The week finished with a farewell trip to the bowling alley, followed by a disco at school where students let loose and celebrated the friendships forged over the week. We can’t wait to catch up with our friends at collège maintenon in September when a group of Brooksbank students will visit them in France.
