Ewan Horrocks

I have enjoyed acting from a very young age. After Brooksbank, my passion, work ethic and enthusiasm led me to attend the National Youth Theatre. This was the springboard that enabled me to achieve a place at the Manchester School of Acting. Signing for agents in London and the US became my passports to film and television.

Appearances in Netflix’s The Last Kingdom and Seven Kings Must Die have taken me around the world from filming in Budapest and Hungary to premiers in the Paris Theatre, New York. Filming Sky Atlantic's Domina was an amazing experience; we spent eighteen months filming on location in Rome. I’ve also acted alongside such greats as Sean Bean.

Ewan’s message is

“never give up, even in the tough times”

“Invest time, energy and effort into your school work and get as good an education as possible irrespective of what you want to do or become in the future. My dad, who teaches at Brooksbank, always told me "the harder you work the luckier you get". Never give up, even if you get knock backs. Show your grit and determination, work hard and continue to follow your dreams.”
